“I simply can’t find The time to meditate”

This is a very understandable challenge for most beginners. It is a common myth that one needs to be in a meditation studio or in a private space to meditate. The truth is there are plenty of opportunities – one just needs to find them with a little creativity. For example, one can blissfully meditate on a plane ride with many people around them.

“I have meditated a couple of times and loved it but find it hard to make it a habit.”

Like any positive change, it will take patience with commitment.  Most of all, it needs to be enjoyable. With gentle coaching, support and access to the right tools, you will soon look forward to your time with yourself. Like the masters say, “The journey inward is the most fulfilling.”

“I don’t think meditation is for me.”

Meditation is to the mind and soul, what exercise is to the body. Just as one needs to enjoy exercise and build a disciplined routine, to realise the benefits, so should they choose meditations that are appropriate for their circumstances and stage in their journey.

“I can’t sit in an uncomfortable position for a long time.”

It is a huge myth that one can meditate only in specific positions. The key is to take your mind to Alpha (mostly) and sometimes to Theta or Delta states. Your body needs to be comfortable, yet not so comfortable that you fall asleep. With practice, you will find some favourite positions that will help you enjoy your practice and want to keep going!

“I don’t know how to go about meditation.”

Recognising the challenge is a great first step. Seeking help and finding a coach are the next big steps. We will start with understanding your situation, persona and objectives. Then we will together build your practice. All we ask for is an open mind and your commitment to what could be a very rewarding journey for you.
